On the Mountain

Fresh off the Lift.
Just below 13,000 ft,
Kristin P. waits for instructions from ski guide "Jess"

Kate volunteers to go first.
Ski guide Jess assures us there is only "one steep turn"
as he disappears off the edge behind Kate.

Our guide speaks the truth!
Fresh powder awaits the Lyons skiers who plunge off the edge.
Natalie makin' turns in this shot.
Looking down the gully.

Andrea and Kristen B. get ready to head into the gully.

Success!
Lyons skiers pose for a photo at the end of the first run.

Tiger Main and Sunset Runs.
Kristin P. and Natalie start the climb for more runs.
Sara prepares to descend from "the Finn" into the "terrain trap." Avalanche debris from previous day in background.
Can you see Kate skiing?
Skiers perched on the Finn and watch Kate descend.

Day Two

A Blustery Start
On Day Two a storm approaches.
The helicopters is grounded after the first drop of skiers.

That's OK!
Heli-skier was NOT in the plan, anyway.
Natalie and Kate holding tight to skis as the wind howls.

Tiger Main Run.
Ski Guide John (in red) and others trudge up the kicked steps.

Catchin' Air
Kristen B. gets some air coming out of the trees.

Nice Lines!
The Man Cave.
Sara chillin' in the in the Ski "lodge" at the end of the day.

A picturesque ending.
